America’s team made its way into Oxnard, California in the usual Cowboy way, with swagger and confidence. This will be the season they break the 8-8 curse.
The team that came into Oxnard for the 2014 training camp is not the same group that was here last year.
A shuffling of the defensive coordinator responsibility will be a good thing. On defensive side of the ball, the only players who seem to have a lock on returning with a starting job are Orlando Scandrick, Barry Church, Brandon Carr and Bruce Carter. The scouts and management have done a good job of replacing personnel. There are a lot a new faces. The new faces will bring about a very competitive training camp. This is going to be fun to watch.
Dallas brought in Scott Linehan to boost the offensive output and this team should put up the more points than last season‘s team. Eliminating the fumbles “after the catch” will go a long way into improving this already potent squad. The addition of rookie guard Zack Martin will solidify a good offensive line and that will help Tony Romo’s longevity.
Thursday afternoon, the 2014 Cowboys will take the practice field and will need to get back up on that horse and charge into the 2014 season with the mission being-to bring their faithful fans something more than an 8-8 season.
