Romo Leads Cowboys On Game-Winning Drive

Once again the Dallas Cowboys took part in a dramatic 4th quarter and squeaked out a win against the Washington Redskins 24-23.  Let’s take a quick look at the game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter that was led by Tony Romo

1st and 10 at Dallas 13

  • Romo throws an incomplete pass to Terrance Williams

2nd and 10 at Dallas 13

  • Romo throws a 15-yard pass to Terrance Williams on a comeback route

1st and 10 at Dallas 28

  • Romo throws an incomplete pass to Dez Bryant downfield (left side)

2nd and 10 at Dallas 28

  • Romo with a 51-yard pass to Terrance Williams down to the Washington 21 yard-line

1st and 10 at Washington 21

  • Romo throws a short pass to Dez Bryant who turned it into a 17 yard gain

Timeout by Washington

1st and 4 at Washington 4

  • DeMarco Murray with a 3 yard gain

2nd and 1 at Washington 1

  • Murray runs for no gain

3rd and 1 at Washington 1

  • Murray runs for a loss of 9 yards

4th and 10 at Washington 10

  • Romo throws a pass to DeMarco Murray on the right side of the field for a 10 yard touchdown

This 9 play drive covered 87 yards and chewed up over 2 minutes of precious game clock which eliminated the Redskins chances of sustaining a game-winning drive of their own.

Tony Romo redeemed himself after lasts week’s debacle by rallying his team for an important victory late in the season.  The Cowboys will play the Eagles next week and the winner will take the NFC East Division Title.
