MRI Shows No Structural Damage for Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant underwent an MRI on Monday after limping off the practice field and signaling that his knee was bothering him. The initial reaction any time a player complains about pain in their knee is the possibility of structural damage. Fortunately for the Dallas Cowboys, the MRI revealed the pain to be due only to patella tendinitis and nothing structurally wrong. However, it is not clear whether or not Dez Bryant will play again during the preseason, or if he will just be rested until the season opener against the Cowboys division rivals, the New York Giants.

This all comes the day after Bryant made a spectacular catch in the back of the end zone during the Cowboys second preseason game. Yes, he was out of bounds and a penalty would have called it back even if he did get both in bounds. But the catch really showcased the raw talent that Dez Bryant has, now he just needs to put everything together and transform from a troubled receiver into a star receiver.
